The Cellular Therapy Coding and Labeling Advisory Group (CTCLAG) was asked to reconsider the use of “TC” (therapeutic cells) terminology because of concerns that a number of products with this designation do not have “obvious” therapeutic benefit.  CTCLAG is proposing to update terminology with the intent of accommodating current users by minimizing the amount of change and aligning with fields such as tissue banking.
