Address Change for All Check Remittances
On Friday, May 14, 2010 our check remittance processing was relocated from Charlotte, North Carolina to Los Angeles, California. Because of this move, the lockbox number was changed. This will require you to use a new address to send check payments via U.S. Postal Service or courier. As a result, please update your records with the new address and lockbox information below.

ISBT 128 Cellular Therapy Letter- Thank you to all who completed the survey regarding the ISBT 128 implementation status for cellular therapy facilities around the world! The survey is now closed at this time. If your organization has not already fully implemented ISBT 128, we encourage you to move to the next step in implementation. That is, we encourage you to begin using ISBT 128 label designs and bar codes. Please follow this link to read the joint letter recently released by ICCBBA and other supporting organizations.

ICCBBA One World Award -
Through the One World Award, ICCBBA will strive to regularly acknowledge professionals who significantly contribute to the understanding and application of international information standards in transfusion and transplantation medicine. We are again accepting nominations for this award. Self nominations are also welcome.
The previous winner, Dr. Charles Munk, recently presented his award lecture at the ISBT Congress in Berlin, Germany. Congratulations Charles!

Registered facilities database - An updated facility identification database is now available to licensed facilities. The database contains the names and locations of all ICCBBA registered facilities worldwide and their assigned facility identification numbers. It is available both as an Excel file (collection_facilities.xls) and as a tab delimited Text file (collection_facilities.txt). Both documents are available from the download area of the web site. Amendments to entries in these tables should be notified to the ICCBBA office. (For US facilities registered and/or licensed with the FDA, the name and location of your facility should match what appears on your FDA registration or license.) View it here.

Version 3.39.0 of the ISBT 128 product code database is now available to licensed facilities. Updates are listed in the version control sheet. The new database can be downloaded as an Access database or as text file tables.

ICCBBA and ISBT 128 - Value for Money?- The National Health Service has published two articles regarding ICCBBA and ISBT 128 labeling in their latest online issue of NHS Blood and Transplant Matters. http://hospital.blood.co.uk/library/pdf/bm30.pdf
The first article can be found on page 13 and is titled "ICCBBA and ISBT 128 - Value for Money?".The second article on page 14 provides an application for cellular therapy facilities and is appropriately titled, "ISBT 128 Labeling for Cellular Therapy Products".

US Consensus Standard v3.0.0 DRAFT - The US Consensus Standard for the Uniform Labeling of Blood and Blood Components v3.0.0 has been submitted to the FDA for review. The latest Draft is available here. Please note that this not yet official until it has been approved by the FDA.

Technical Bulletin 10 - A new Technical Bulletin has been published to assist users with their ISBT 128 validation process. This document contains usable bar codes for software validation and to help verify the correct operation of

US Cellular Therapy Document - The United States Consensus Standard for the Uniform Labeling of Cellular Therapy Products using ISBT 128, Version 1.1.0 has been published! It is the result of the collaborative efforts of AABB, ASBMT, ASFA, FACT, ICCBBA, ISCT, and NMDP.

Technical Specification v3.6.0 - A new version of the ISBT 128 Technical Specification has been released and supersedes the previous 3.5.1 version. Changes are noted in the internal version control sheet found in Section 1.3 of version 3.6.0. All previous versions of the Technical Specification can be accessed in the archive section of the ICCBBA website by clicking on "List Archived Files" at the top of the page after logging in.
